Lower Providence Baptist Church

Our History

Lower Providence Baptist Church dates back over 200 years.  It originates back to the “Holy Experiment” of William Penn when Baptists from Wales settled in the township of Lower Providence.
The current stone church is the fourth building on the site, and was built in 1877, using materials from the third church.

Our Pastor:

Thank you for taking the time to visit Lower Providence Baptist Church online. Whether you're exploring your faith, seeking a new church home, or just visiting, we want you to know you're always welcome here. Since December 2020, I’ve had the privilege of serving as pastor at LPBC. I can say without hesitation that this is one of the most loving, welcoming church families I’ve ever known. My preaching is biblically grounded and aims to be both thought-provoking and relevant to the challenges we face in everyday life. I was born and raised in Phoenixville, PA. Before being called to pastoral ministry, I worked as a firefighter and later as a foreman and designer for a fire sprinkler company. I also served as the National Disaster Relief Coordinator for American Baptist Men USA, helping establish a nationwide network of volunteers and equipment for disaster recovery efforts. After receiving my Master of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary, I pastored churches in Pottstown and Springfield (Delaware County), PA, and Hoosick Falls, NY. I also served as Associate Pastor at Parkerford Baptist Church in Spring City, PA. It’s my greatest joy to walk alongside others as we grow in Christ together. I invite you to join us—just as you are.
Blessings,
Pastor Ken Webster
