Fall Presentation/Neill Hartley

Date: Saturday September 28th, 2019 at 1:30 PM (The show is about 40 minutes with a break. It ends with a time for questions.)
Actor, Neill Hartley, presents a one man version The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving.
Ichabod Crane comes to life as Neill Hartley reenacts Ichabod’s fateful journey the night he meets the headless horseman. This is an interactive play for everyone 6 years and older will enjoy. (It may be a bit frightening for younger children. Childcare is provided for ages 6 and younger. We would appreciate having reservations for childcare. Just call 610-539-0272, you may leave a message if no one is in the office.)
Everyone gets a chance to participate. Children become students in Ichabod’s classroom, and everyone can sing along when he’s at church.
Refreshments are being provided after the show with lots of goodies for everyone.
Neill Hartley is a professional actor who performs in local and regional  Theatre. He had principle roles in The Sixth Sense and First Freedom, a PBS documentary. In seasons two, three and four he was in Netflix series House of Cards. Hartley serves on the theatre faculty at University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
​Neill Hartley is professional actor, director and educator. He has principal roles in The Sixth Sense, First Freedom (PBS documentary) and can be seen as the Secretary of the Treasury in seasons two, three and four of the Netflix series House of Cards. For over seven years, Neill has been seen on QVC as a spokesperson for two national companies. His works regularly in industrial and voice over projects, and has appeared in regional and national commercials for PA Lottery, PA Tourism, Auto Lenders, Benari Jewelers and 

Neill has appeared with many regional theater companies including The Arden, InterAct, and the Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival.  He shared a "Best Ensemble" Philadelphia Barrymore Award for Batboy, The Musical for 1812 Productions.  Neill is also the artistic director of Acting Without Boundaries, a theater company for young adults with physical disabilities.  In addition to AWB, he has directed for University of the Arts, University of Pennsylvania, Arcadia University, Ursinus College, Luna Theater, Isis Productions, and New City Stage Company.

Neill is an assistant professor of voice and speech at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and has acted as a speech/dialect coach for several professional theater productions. He holds an MFA in Acting from Temple University.

 Neill Hartley is Ichabod Crane in an interactive adaptation Washington Irvings classic tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. See Ichabod interacting with students, leading the congregation in song and dancing with his love. Then follow him on his fateful journey home as he meets the Headless Horseman.​
